these hold just enough water and absorb easily. they do hold food particles, which helps when wiping down the counter. soft yet aggressive enough for washing. i would say it would make a great drying towel, but we tested that and found small lint pieces left behind. otherwise i like themThese dish clothes are the perfect size. I get cotton can shrink, but my other cloths didn’t shrink as much as these.These are perfect for facial cloths, soft and lint free with enough texture to easily wipe away cleansers gently and thoroughly without much effort. I don’t think they’d be as useful in the kitchen, as they are a bit too soft for scrubbing pots and pans. I adore them for facials, thoughI have searched for the perfect dish rags and these are it. This cotton is easy to rinse, wring out and it dries quickly. How much more can you ask from a dish cloth.
