These hooks are sturdy and seem like they would work well without scratching a door.I am disappointed that the measurement of the end of the hook was not listed and upon receipt of the hooks, they do not fit through the grommets (holes) on my over the door organizer. I am bummed that I will not be able to use them.If the sizing will work for your purpose these hooks appear to be very sturdy and will protect your door from scratches.Great hooks, just not for my purpose.
