I am a surgical nurse and these towels are horrible. I washed them once and they wrinkled up to about half the size, and are very rough. They are not particularly absorbant either. I have used surgical towels around my house for years. Real surgical towels are great for cleaning, car and house windows, and much more. These are not worth the cost.
